Surgical experience gained:
- Assisted
a wide array of surgeries such as cancers of the oral and maxillofacial
region, maxillofacial trauma and pathology and Orthognathic surgery,
cleft lip and palate
- Have
confidently and independently performed minor surgical procedures such
as impactions, space infections, enucleations of minor cysts, aesthetic
suturing of soft tissue injuries and treatment of maxillofacial
fractures such as symphysis, parasymphysis and body fractures, maxillary
fracture, nasal fracture, frontal bone fracture, orthognatic surgeries
, cleft lip and palate.
- Have gained valuable experience in emergency trauma management.
- Have
assisted a plethora of surgeries of various fields of medicine such as
general surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopaedics and plastic surgery
which has given me a clear insight into the advantages of a
multidisciplinary team approach.
